Welcome to Mountain Memories Farm.
Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwestern Virginia, Mountain Memories Farm has been owned by our family for five generations. Just as in the old days, we know how important it is to feed your family fresh vegetables, meats of quality and fresh eggs. It's what we grew up on. Our lambs are grass fed and receive no horomones or antibiotics. Our chickens are free range and also receive no horomones or antibiotics. We grow our vegetables organically, and we are working towards being organically certified.
Here at the farm we continue to live our lives as our ancestors once did. Our day includes feeding the chickens, gathering the eggs, or feeding the sheep. Our baby lambs love to be fed on a bottle. We do that four times a day . We have rabbits and calves too. After all the animals are fed, we head to the garden to pull weeds and collect fresh vegetables. There's nothing better than eating a tomato warmed by the sunshine. Mark's favorite snack while he is working is fresh peas pulled from the vine.
Growing up on this farm was a wonderful experience and we are passing the experience along to our children and grandchildren.
